Doug and Carrie get a taste of parenthood when they baby-sit Deacon and Kelly's kids on The King of Queens (8 p.m., CBS). On Ally McBeal (9 p.m., Fox), the firm represents a newscaster who was fired for reporting that there is no Santa Claus, and Ally learns why the holidays make Larry blue. Ray's hypochondria goes into overdrive when a man sneezes on him in an airport on Everybody Loves Raymond (9 p.m., CBS). On Roswell (9 p.m., WB), Max and Tess travel to New York, where Max's claim to the throne is tested. Mia Farrow guests on Third Watch (10 p.m., NBC) in an episode in which Yokas visits her parents and confronts her ex, all while searching for an escaped convict.

Crocodile Hunter: Captured on Camera (8 p.m., NBC) brings fun-loving Animal Planet croc chasers Steve and Teri Irwin to the non-cable-subscribing masses. The four-part series Founding Fathers (9 p.m., History Channel) profiles George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams and the other founders of our nation -- warts, wooden teeth, mistresses and all.
