On a two-hour Very Special Episode of Beverly Hills, 90210 (8 p.m., Fox), Janet and Steve's baby is born prematurely during their honeymoon. Dawson's Creek (8 p.m., WB) ventures into (yawn) "Blair Witch" territory, when the gang gets stranded on Witch Island while filming Dawson's documentary about a bit of local folklore. On an hour-long episode of Cosby (8 p.m., CBS), Griffin dreams that teachers earn the big bucks and fame accorded athletes. Patrick Ewing, Doug Flutie, Jerry Rice, John Lithgow and Bryant Gumbel are among those making cameos. The president clashes with Congress over a piece of legislation and Leo's daughter cozies up to Sam on The West Wing (9 p.m., NBC). The Drew Carey Show (9 p.m., ABC) has a special sweeps episode in which Kate reveals her true feelings for Drew. The special part is that the episode will be partly simulcast on the Net at a mock Winfred-Louder Web site. 20/20 (10 p.m., ABC) reports on single mothers raising sons. Briscoe and new partner Green have a falling out during a tense investigation on Law & Order (10 p.m., NBC).

Specials

The new TV movie Black and Blue (9 p.m., CBS) is an adaptation of Anna Quindlen's novel about a battered wife trying to flee her husband, a New York cop. Mary Stuart Masterson and Anthony LaPaglia star. New York: A Documentary Film (check local times, PBS) continues with a look at the Big Apple and the immigration wave of the early 1900s.
