Salon is proud to announce that it has once again garnered three finalist nominations in this year's Online Journalism Awards.

The nominations include one for "General Excellence in Online Journalism: More than 200,000 visitors - Independent" -- our third in a row. Salon won this award in the first OJA competition in 2000.

Also nominated this year, in the "Enterprise Journalism: Independent" category, was Jake Tapper's series of exclusive reports on the Enron scandals.

And Asra Nomani's coverage from Pakistan in the weeks after 9/11 was nominated in the "Feature Journalism: Independent" category.

The winners of the awards competition, which is cosponsored by the Online News Association and the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, will be announced Oct. 18.

A full list of the nominees in all categories can be found on the Online Journalism Awards site.
